Wow! We sure are navigating a lot of change (and even disappointment) in this season, aren’t we?
How are you doing? How are you holding up?
The other night—actually the night after I told you the dreaded news about Retreat 2020—I started to feel a little panicky as I began to focus on the unknown of the future.
It’s in these times that I need a reset. And maybe, right now, you do too.
If that’s the case, I want to encourage you with these three truths:
- God has not left you to flounder.
- He is still in control.
- He is still our leader and the one who will show us our next step to take.
Last month I told you how I love relaxing in my hammock, well, that is still true!
I need the stillness and quietness in my life.
When things come up with my kids, I realize how little control I have and how desperately I need the wisdom of God to identify my kid’s needs and teach them. When challenging circumstances or decisions arise at work or otherwise, I need those times of stillness and resetting to gain perspective and find courage.
We are not in control. But God is.
Keep your heart and eyes set on Him and be real with your emotions, fears, and struggles. Give it all to Him and know that we are honored to walk with you and pray with and for you because we are here for you!
We are in this together.
