Merry Christmas!

By December 1, 2019 Monthly Update

The holidays are here! It is time to celebrate!

I’m thankful that no matter what life throws our way, we can be assured of this. God is good. God is with you.

I am also aware that this “most wonderful time of year” can often be the “most painful time of year” for those who have lost a loved one, struggling because of a broken relationship, or walking I through painful family dynamics.

If you are walking a difficult road right now, please reach out to us – we would be happy honored to storm the gates of heaven on your behalf.

Now, as we look toward 2020, get ready!

God is on the move and I have such a fire in my belly about what is ahead.

I expect 2020 to be a year of multiplication. I believe we will see many more people supporting the foster care community and experiencing Jesus together!

Team, let’s take time this month to pause and reflect, and thank God for his faithfulness.

We are are with you. We love you!

Check Reminder

A reminder from accounting, please make sure all checks for your area are written to “The Forgotten Initiative” and only includes your area’s name in the Memo, NOT the To line.

Get your 2019 Donations in on time!

We’re coming up on the end of 2019–please make sure all donations for 2019 are AT Lifesong by year-end! The reason for this is so your donors can claim their donations on their 2019 taxes.

If you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Season 8 — The Forgotten Podcast

We’re in the planning The Forgotten Podcast’s season 8! If you have potential guests or topics that would benefit those you know on their foster care journey–email Holly! We want to hear from YOU!

Thank you so much for sending in your tracking this past month!

Because we value celebration–we want to share a story from an Advocate area!

Cherith Craft, in Baton Rouge, LA shared: A friend of mine volunteered a couple of times to help move furniture into bio family’s homes. I asked if she had anything she’s learned from being a part of these days. She said, “I think the most impactful moment for me personally was the tearful hug I received from the woman who was taking care of her teenage granddaughter. I don’t think I realized that helping for such a small amount of time doing something simple could mean so much to a person.” It’s moments like these that drive people to do more because they are now aware of the difference they are making!

Celebration Graphics

Mitch created some general thank you/celebration graphics that you can use to celebrate what God has done/is doing in your area! You can share the specifics in the description/comments of the social media post. Check those out on the Resource Page under “Social Media.”
