Gaelin Announcement

By December 20, 2021Default

Hey TFI Family,

I wanted to take some time to share with you the news that at the end of January, I will be transitioning out of my role as Coaching Director with TFI.

My time with all of you and with the team here at national has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve grown in so many ways—more deeply understanding the foster care community, the importance of partnering with the church in our work, and the value of being around awesome people that will grow and stretch you. Nothing may show my growth this year more than the cup of Keurig coffee I have in the mornings now.

Even though this was a much shorter season than I anticipated, and I’m sad for it to be ending, I am at peace with it because I’ve felt God’s hand in it – and above all – I trust him.

As most of you know, my wife, our daughter, and I moved to Illinois to be a part of TFI. We picked up parts of our lives and left others back in Minnesota. As much as we have loved the family we have gained through TFI, we have deeply missed our family, support system, and community back home. In connection with a ton of different, wild, and surreal happenings—my wife has gotten an amazing opportunity back in Minnesota, and through prayer, discernment, and some things falling through, we have said yes.

As for me, I’m going to just boldly step into my passion for speaking and impacting change in the lives of vulnerable youth and families. As I transition to speaking full-time, I will also be a part-time caregiver for our daughter Laniah – and any other littles God may be adding to our family in the future (bio or not)

Although I am sad that I won’t have a specific role in the future of TFI, I am still excited for what God has done in this short year and what He is going to do through you, this team, and this organization. I am a huge fan of all of you, and I mean that. As far as my transition, I’m not gone yet. I am still coaching, brainstorming, nagging, and challenging you all until the very end – which is January 28th. If you want to talk about your ministry, talk more about my transition and decision, or ask any other questions, feel free to reach out and schedule something. I would love to connect. And beyond January 28th, I’ll always be able to be reached through social media.

I appreciate you all. I love you all. I am encouraged by you all. Thanks for helping me experience more of Jesus by allowing me to walk alongside you!
