Resources, Resources, Resources!

UPDATE FROM JAMI

So this week my ceiling suddenly fell down over our entire living room – YEAH, it was CRAZY! My man, Clint D. Kaeb, he led the charge. He remained positive when I was in tears. He made the plan and led us toward action. And then his parents and my parents showed up and helped and we had the room emptied only 2.5 hours later!! As they say, teamwork makes the dream work!

One of my biggest priorities here at TFI is to guard our culture – to focus on organizational health and make sure we are staying mission true and focused on our vision of people everywhere supporting the foster care community and experiencing Jesus together.

We have incredible culture, don’t we?!

One filled with trust, laughter, honesty, strong communication, and teamwork.

With culture in mind, I want to publicly affirm Holly. She is our Operations Director and is the first to meet our potential advocates and walk with them through the process.

Holly brings incredible wisdom and insight to our team. She is always working to make our processes run more smoothly and asks great questions to challenge our thinking and to help us work through decisions and so on.

Oh! And, the looks she gives me — the way, I see her in my head now whenever I want to overpromise something. She stops me dead in my tracks when she’s not even there! And yet, on the other side, she encourages my dreams, too!

Holly, we are better because of you!

UPDATE FROM Holly

I’m so excited to be able to introduce our newest Advocate to you. Guys, we’re now in 22 states. God can do exceedingly more than we think!

Emily is launching her ministry in Everett, Washington and we could not be more thrilled!

Emily’s story is one of the reasons I love TFI so much so I want to share a bit of it with you! Listen to this…

She says…
“As a teen, God gave me a burden for foster children and orphans through my local church’s bus ministry. It wasn’t until we’d been married 4 years that we took that scary step of faith to open our home and hearts to foster children. That was almost three years ago and since then, God has shifted my perspective and opened my eyes to the huge needs around me. For the past year, I’ve felt the tug to do more for this cause, but I’ve no idea where or how to start, which led me to TFI. I’m excited to have some training/direction on how to make a difference in the foster care community around me.”

Being able to connect with people interested in the Advocate role is a complete joy for me, because I love hearing stories like this.

I love that TFI is a place for people who simply want to take the next step in obedience to what God is prompting them to. They don’t have to have all the details figured out. In fact, I think TFI thrives because we are simply a group of people who love God and want to love others well. We’re willing to share ideas, give grace to one another, and be for each other because ultimately, what we care about most is seeing people everywhere supporting the foster care community and experiencing Jesus together. What a journey to be on! I’m thankful to be part of it because of you.

Vision Booklets & Ministry Overview Half Sheets

Be on the lookout to be receiving Vision Booklets and Ministry Overview Half Sheets.

When should you use these?

The vision booklets will be beneficial for more intentional conversations. You can then use the ministry overviews for bigger events when people are stopping by your table and need a quick overview of who TFI is!
