It is a privilege to be with you in this space each month!
In January, I shared about the thief of our joy and motivation: Perfectionism.
In February we talked about our growth oriented culture and how “perfect” shouldn’t be our goal but rather, on learning and growing forward. Imperfect progress.
This month, let’s continue that theme and think about what to do when we do fail. When we don’t live up to our expectations of ourselves.
Failure is an opportunity to learn.
We can take our failure and our misses and allow the enemy and our own negative self talk beat us up OR we can recognize the freeing fact that we are imperfect.
We do and will misstep and we can move forward.
I talk about this because I struggle with this. I want to do things right. I want to be perfect. And yet, in our imperfections, we recognize our need for Jesus more. In our weakness, He is strong.
Today, if you are feeling down. If you have messed up. Humble recognize yourself, apologize and seek forgiveness when necessary, and move forward, accepting the grace that Jesus gives us so freely.
We want to see people everywhere supporting the foster care community–and more importantly–experiencing Jesus together. We want to do it right, but we will not do it perfectly but we do get to play a part in this great work.
Thanks for being here! We are in this together!

5 Tips for Connecting with the Local Church
We recently created a resource for those going through the Advocate Application process so they had some guidance as they were connecting and building relationships with churches in their community. It’s called 5 Tips for Connecting with the Local Church and we want to share it with you, too, because its a great tool!
Advocate Resource Page
The Advocate Resource Page is full of so many great resources. Before you reach out to request a resource, be sure to check that page! There is even a space on this page where you can see the resources Mitch has created for other TFI ministries — under LOCATIONS at the top of the list of resource.
