The Bible says in Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to Him who is able to do, immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever amen.”
You guys, I believe we are in a time of immeasurably more than we could think or imagine here at TFI.
There is something stirring in me, an undercurrent of sorts, and I believe God is ready to move in big ways. Are you ready?! We ARE!
I want you to know, your National Team is healthy. We care deeply about each other. We appreciate each other’s gift. We understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We trust each other and even though we don’t always agree, we share honestly, listen with openness, and align around the decision that is made.
Over the past few months, I’ve been highlighting each one and today–last but certainly not least–I get to talk about Shannon. She is gift to me and to this organization.
Shannon:
- Brings calm to our chaos
- Has the ability to remain calm in the chaos
- Is an incredible support to each one of us and is always willing to help wherever needed
- Sees gaps and works toward solutions to fill them
In particular, she saw that I needed more fundraising support and so she simply started helping. She saw a gap and started filling it.
Since then, I have invited her to expand her role and join me more intentionally in our effort to increase faithful and generous giving to the ministry.
We not only want to sustain our budget, but we want to grow! Truly, the ideas that are being inspired, the goals we are setting, the strategy behind what we are doing is exploding because Shannon has joined my efforts and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited to see what God is up too.
We want to see people everywhere supporting the foster care community and experiencing Jesus together and it IS happening! What a thrilling adventure to be on with you! The best is yet to come.
What I Love About TFI
Tonight I am walking my 6’6″ baby boy across a football field to celebrate his senior year.
Events like these make my heart ache for the kids who grow up without loving parents walking alongside them.
But there are amazing people, like you, out there advocating for these children and families and that is one of the many things I love about TFI–the people.
TFI has the most genuine, caring, selfless people faithfully serving His children. I love this TFI family of ours, and it’s an honor to serve alongside you!
