  • Write Christmas Cards for Social Workers:
Would you like to help encourage foster care workers in our community this holiday season? We are collecting handwritten Christmas cards with messages of thanks and encouragement to deliver in early December to several agencies. If your family, church, or group would like to help with this, please email [email protected]! We would like to have them in hand by the end of November if possible.
  • Stock the Shelves at DSS:
Doing some online shopping this season? Check out our Amazon wish list and consider making a donation from the comfort of your home for kids entering foster care. The items will ship straight to us, and we’ll deliver to DSS.
  • Tutor A Child in Foster Care:
Do you have a heart for children, a love of learning, and a few extra hours per week to spare? We know of a need for several tutors for middle and high school students. If you’d be willing and able to help a child in foster care with homework 2-3 nights a week for an hour to an hour and a half, please reach out to[email protected] to get the process started.
  • Help Purchase Gift Bags for Christmas
One of our agencies is in need of about 50 of these giant gift bags (the giant plastic gift bags, not the bike bags) from the Dollar Tree for their foster family Christmas party the first week of December. If you would like to help provide these, you can either purchase them from the store and get them to us in person OR donate some funds towards their purchase and let us do the shopping! Let us know at [email protected] if you can help with this. We will need to deliver by December 2.
  • Become A Church Partner
Would your church or small group like to get more involved with the foster care community, start a foster care ministry, find ways to give, or pray strategically through the month for children, workers & families in our area? We’re here to help you! We’d love to set up a meeting to discuss the mission and giftings of your group or church family and connect you with opportunities to support the foster care community and experience Jesus together. If this is something you’re interested in, email our volunteer coordinator Callie at[email protected] to get the conversation started!
